Poncho
Municipal rainwear, feline drainage division
He patrols every puddle before breakfast, without requesting backup.

Drain Inspector
Poncho clocks in when the pavement turns black. He checks the curb, tests the shallow end with one paw, and ignores every doorway offering shelter. The transparent coat is regulation issue; the yellow piping is strictly supervisory. By noon, three drains are cleared, two reflections are corrected, and one suspicious leaf has been escorted downstream. He goes home damp only at the ankles.
Rain continues. Poncho remains on duty.
